2022 Alfa Romeo Giulia Estrema and Stelvio Estrema
The Alfa Romeo Estrema series targets the driving enthusiast and builds on the Giulia Veloce sports sedan and the Stelvio Veloce performance mid-size SUV. It adds driving dynamics and shares some design elements from the high-performance Giulia Quadrifoglio and Stelvio Quadrifoglio models, including Alfa Synaptic Dynamic Control (SDC) Adaptive Suspension. This advanced suspension technology reads the road and adjusts the shock absorbers to deliver incredible handling at high speeds while maintaining a comfortable ride. The Estrema models also share a limited-slip rear differential with the Quadrifoglio, which provides stability and high control in all driving conditions by distributing torque and traction when cornering at high speeds.
Apart from this, the Estrema models also benefit from continuous dynamics and weight collaboration with Alfa Romeo’s F1 Team ORLEN to get the most out of Alfa Romeo’s racing know-how.
Performance
The Giulia and Stelvio Estrema are equipped with a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that delivers best-in-class performance for a standard powertrain, making 280 horsepower and 306 pound-feet of torque. The engine comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission and adds Alfa Romeo’s Q4 AWD system standard on the Stelvio SUV and optional on the Giulia sedan.
The impressive output and top-of-the-line technology help the Estrema models achieve impressive 0-60 mph acceleration, with the rear-wheel-drive (RWD) Giulia Estrema taking 5.5 seconds to reach the 60 mph mark and the AWD variant a mere 5.1 seconds. The AWD Stelvio Estrema makes the 0-60 mph sprint in 5.5 seconds.

Exterior and Interior
The Estrema models feature a sporty look with carbon fiber and dark-painted elements inside and out. The exterior sports a carbon fiber veneer on the front ‘V’ grille and mirror caps, dark “Estrema” badging on the fenders and rear, and a gloss black finish on the B-pillar and side window trim. Finishing the sport exterior are 19-inch alloy wheels on the Giulia Estrema and 21-inch alloy wheels on the Stelvio, both finished in black.
The sportiness of the exterior carries into the interior of the Estrema with carbon fiber accents throughout the cabin, along with standard leather dashboard, steering wheel, doors, and center console along with Alcantara® and black leather sports seats with red stitching. The red stitching extends to the dashboard, steering wheel, and gear knob to further enhance the sporty look.
The Stelvio and Giulia Estrema also come with a dual-pane sunroof to allow more natural light into the vehicle. A 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and wireless phone charging complete the standard interior specification.

Pricing and Availability
Regarding availability and pricing, the Giulia Estrema RWD starts at $55,090, the Giulia Estrema AWD at $57,090, and the Stelvio Estrema AWD at $58,950 (all prices exclude a $1,595 destination charge). Pre-orders for both models are now open, with availability at Alfa Romeo dealerships across the US slated for the third quarter of 2022.
